[Pr 3:6] in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight. After the COVID-19 pandemic, the cost of rescuing North Korean defectors increased tenfold. This crisis seemed to render Caleb Mission’s work impossible.
But God prepared Beyond Utopia and used the documentary to bring in ten times more supporters to pray and worship with us worldwide. This spring, God led us to Ohio in the United States.
We will never forget the many children of Cincinnati Power Mission Baptist Church who have prayed for North Korea under the guidance of their Next Generation Pastor, who watched Beyond Utopia last winter.
The children sent drawings to Caleb Mission, expressing hope for unification through the gospel. They also raised funds to rescue North Korean defectors. These memorable gifts gave us hope for a bright future!
Following God's guidance, Pastor Seungeun Kim visited Cincinnati Power Mission Baptist Church during his spring U.S. visit. We worshiped together with the congregation and met with these precious children.
We also visited Jesus Shepherd Church in Columbus, Ohio, which supports the rescue of North Korean defectors through Caleb Mission. The church has consistently prayed with us for a long time, and we spent time praising the Lord and praying for North Korea. Pastor Kim would like to express his deepest gratitude to the deacons and deaconesses of Jesus Shepherd Church, who serve with such dedication.
Due to China's strengthened North Korean defector policy, it is still difficult to rescue North Korean defectors. However, with the support of people around the world, Caleb Mission recently rescued eight North Korean defectors, including two children. The mission is working diligently to save more lives and spread the gospel.
If your church or organization would like to invite Pastor Kim to learn more about the ministry in North Korea and pray alongside him, please email us at contact@calebmission.com. We will follow the Lord's guidance.
