Caleb Mission Newsletter šŸ’Œ The Second Week of September

Hallelujah! I pray that the God of peace is with you. Amidst your prayers and intercession, I delivered a speech at the Unify Korea Summit at Liberty University yesterday. Today, I am attending a screening and Q&A for Beyond Utopia.

Ā

I hope that this will help bring more attention to the situation in North Korea and that rescue efforts for North Korean defectors, particularly Caleb Mission's gospel mission, will receive international support. We sincerely ask for your ongoing prayers.

Ā

Caleb Mission recently contacted people inside North Korea and found that many are dying due to starvation, and the situation is more dire than before the COVID-19 outbreak. That's why we need more prayers, and it's crucial to educate people about the situation in North Korea.

Ā

North Korean defectors currently in China are fearful after learning about ongoing arrests and repatriation to North Korea. As a result, many defectors who had initially decided to escape have changed their minds just before the rescue began and are now requesting rescue again. This is a profoundly saddening reality.

Ā

Despite the grim circumstances, Caleb Mission is dedicated to rescuing North Korean defectors and assisting them in overcoming their trauma by teaching the Bible in Southeast Asia. However, they are facing challenges due to limited space at the Southeast Asia Center, which hinders their ability to provide simultaneous care for North Korean defector women and their children. For that, I seek support through prayers and intercession from many people.

Ā

Over $200,000 is a challenge for us, but with prayer, God will lead the way for the North Korean ministry. If everyone contributes a little, we can help reduce the suffering of North Korean defectors.

Ā

Please pray for the North Korean defectors who are still trying to escape from China but are unable to muster the courage to join us and open the way for them to escape. Even now, when our ministers go to the field, they are going through many hardships. I will do my best in America. We need your prayers. Please join us in praying for their strength and safety.

Ā

As the Korean holiday approaches, it's important to remember that North Korean defectors experience great pain during this time. They do not know if their families left behind in North Korea are starving, alive, or even deceased. For them, the holiday season is not a time for joy, but a period of suffering. Your prayers for them would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

1. God, please release the evil spiritual bindings on the North Korean people who suffer from poverty and famine. Please help us be unified through the gospel.

2. God, the relocation of the Southeast Asia Center is absolutely necessary to educate North Korean defectors and establish them as leaders of the kingdom of Jesus Christ. Please fulfill all the necessities.

Ā

3. God, we pray for the anointing of Pastor Kim's US visit by the Holy Spirit. May God's grace be with our ministers' families and the Southeast Asia Center.
